Make this your own. For the past few years I have found myself in many conversations with co-workers, friends, students, other healthcare professionals about self-care. It's not easy, and it's not simple. It's one of those nebulous things that marketers would tell you costs lots of money. It doesn't. For me, so much of self-care has been about connecting with others, listening to how they do things, and putting one foot in front of the other to get to that next goal.
Connection has been shattered over the last few months with the Coronavirus pandemic. I've found myself isolating, limiting my social media exposure, my news exposure, and not seeing my friends or family except via Zoom meetings. It's been stressful and lonely at times, and I know I'm not the only one feeling this way. My hope in starting this website is that people can connect, we can have conversations about how to care for ourselves, and maybe find solutions to difficult problems together.
